The tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons was at the height of its popularity during the 1980s then came the lurid headlines, the allegations of Satanism, and a special breed of American moral panic.

Join Atlas Obscura Society Denver and Misha Fraser to explore some classic true crime, the controversial history of Dungeons & Dragons, and how the moral panic around Dungeons & Dragons fit into the larger landscape of the '80s.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Misha Fraser is the education coordinator for the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys. She is a frequent contributor to Warm Cookies for the Revolution and Atlas Obscura Society Denver events. She has previously presented on the uncanny valley in toys and the evolution of toys as a reflection of changing interpretations of childhood and child-rearing.
