Join our 3rd annual lecture celebrating book artists!

Julie Chen presents the museum s third annual Book Arts Lecture, covering highlights from her 30-year career as a studio book artist. Chen, an internationally known book artist who publishes limited-edition artists books under the Flying Fish Press imprint, will share insights into her creative process and behind-the-scenes stories and readings from some of her pieces.

Her work can be found in numerous collections worldwide, including NMWA, Library of Congress, Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and Sir George Grey Special Collections, Auckland, New Zealand.

Chen is a professor of book art at Mills College in Oakland, California.
