Pastry Chef Ally Taylor will introduce kids to the culinary arts while instilling confidence!
In this engaging, hands-on class, your kids will learn how to follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients and perform decorating techniques. Students will decorate their very own apron to take home! All ingredients and supplies provided.
On the menu: Vanilla sugar cookies decorated with royal icing + sprinkles! Students will roll out sugar cookie dough, cut with Valentine s Day cookie cutters and bake in the oven. While cookies are cooling, students will learn new culinary terms, decorate their apron, and take a short quiz on the culinary terms. Students will decorate and package their cookies for Valentine s Day!
About Pastry Chef Ally Taylor
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of Charleston for Baking and Pastry Arts, Chef Taylor moved to DC to gain experience in the industry. She has served as a pastry sous chef at Maketto, baker and cake decorator at Raresweets, and is now pastry sous chef of Gravitas. Previously, she organized children s birthday parties through Snip-Its. In her own words, I d like to give kids an opportunity to express their creativity and realize they are capable of accomplishing any goal, big or small.
