The last generations of Peters knew their way around a cruise ship. Join us for a tour of the iconic glamour of that era with historian Christian Roden and Tudor Place Curator Grant Quertermous. Encounter high style and entertaining stories from the great U.S. and European liners that once carried the Peters and others, from their interior design to the vital political role they played on the international stage. Christian will share recent findings in international archives forgotten for decades and relate his maritime scholarship to a display of collection items from Peter family travels in a mini-exhibition curated by Grant.

Membership Coordinator of The Decorative Arts Trust, Christian Roden holds a master's degree in material culture from the University of Delaware s Winterthur Program and was a 2011-2012 Fulbright Research Fellow at L Association French Lines in Le Havre, France. His curatorial experience includes work with the S.S. United States Conservancy. An avid painter, he has published and lectured on a range of maritime history topics.
