Objects, pictures, letters and documents awaited him, revealing traces of a troubled and unknown past involving unexpected national interests, a friendship that crosses enemy lines, and deeply repressed family emotions. Arnon Goldfinger (b. 1963) is an Israeli film director and scriptwriter known for his films The Komediant and The Flat, the latter of which has received various awards, including Best Documentary awards from Bavarian Film, the Jerusalem Film Festival and the Israeli Film Academy.
