You ve heard of the Jimmy Hendrix experience, the Politics of Experience, now get ready for the Fritjof Capra Experience!
Spend an evening with Fritjof Capra, author of the Tao of Physics, as he discusses the nature of experience in relation to conversations he had with the infamous counter-culture hero R.D. Laing.
On December 9th we have the pleasure of hosting Dr. Fritjof Capra, prominent author, physicist, and systems theorist at Monument, a beautiful and spacious venue in downtown San Francisco.
During the 1980s, many of Fritjof Capra s discussions with R.D. Laing centered on the nature of experience and the challenges of formulating a science of experience. In this lecture Fritjof will show to what extent Laing s prescient ideas are being realized by cognitive scientists today who are developing a science of mind and consciousness that, for the first time, unifies mind, matter, and life.
This event is a fundraiser for Gnosis Retreat Center, a non-profit organization that aims to provide a safe space for people with altered experiences of reality. To learn more go to Gnosisretreatcenter.org, we could use your support!
The event will include a donation based bar and a raffle with prizes such as signed copies of The Tao of Physics and Lunch with Fritjof!
